The city of Ancona, known throughout the centuries as an Italian gateway to the East, has a rich history that dates back over 2400 years when it was founded by Greek settlers from Syracuse. This ancient strategic port has played a fundamental role in national and international trade not only as a hub for the Adriatic Sea but recently as a central point along the coastal ridge that joins Trieste to Puglia (from the north to the south).
In its historic centre and along Corso Stamira, the city area where the most well-known bank branches are located, there is the project of renovation for the territorial banking management pursuing and achieving LEED v4 ID+C: Commercial Interiors Platinum. The building, object for a focused strip out activity, had been built in the 80s and until the early 2000s housed a famous cinema. The outside structure has been preserved to ensure a better integration of the building after the project into the urban environment.
